ABOUT
10 years ago, my journey as a designer began with Domi Domingo Day Nursery in Leeds—thanks to Indre Deksnyte for taking a chance on me back then. Fast forward to today, and I’ve had the privilege of revisiting my initial designs for them.
Updating my own creations has been a fascinating experience, highlighting the evolution of my skills and vision over the years. It’s a testament to the enduring power of great ideas—while design trends may change, the essence of a concept remains timeless.
To me, this embodies the essence of a dynamic brand—constantly evolving, adapting, and growing. Here’s to another decade of creativity!
PROBLEM
Re-designing my first client’s logo was both a challenge and a positive experience. It’s not often that you compare your current work to what you created a decade ago. Ten years had passed since the initial design, and it was exciting to revisit it. I collaborated with Angga on new illustrations. The character had been well-developed from the beginning, so our main focus was selecting updated colors and refreshing the visual style to make it more contemporary and appealing. This project was a rewarding opportunity to showcase growth and creativity.
Summary:
Domi Day Nursery is a safe and healthy place for children, offering numerous outdoor activities and a creative approach to childcare and healthy meals. I’m thrilled to work with clients who prioritize such enriching environments for kids, and it’s been a pleasure re-designing their logo to reflect their vibrant and nurturing ethos.
“Domi creates a safe space for children to freely explore their curiosity.”
